To me, R. D. Olson has always had a sense of community about it. They care about their people, and their people care about doing a good job. My 35 year experience in the support department has always been one of helping each other out and having each other’s back, a true “Support” department. We work as a team together and everyone is willing to help someone who needs it, but we also have a lot of fun!

I am proud to work for RD Olson because of the incredible culture. From day one, I felt welcomed and valued as part of the team. The company’s commitment to innovation and excellence inspires me every day, and I am constantly motivated by the talented and passionate colleagues I work with. What keeps me here is the opportunity for growth, open communication, and the emphasis on work-life balance. Overall, RD Olson is more than just a workplace; it’s a community where I feel empowered to contribute and make a difference.

Becoming a member of the RD Olson family has truly been the most amazing experience. The culture is one that values collaboration and cultivates leadership. Since starting in 2018, I have had the opportunity to be a part of several exciting projects with inspiring leaders and the most dedicated people in the construction and hospitality industry.

For me, it is the people at RD Olson! In my 10-year experience, everyone has always been supportive in not only my career growth, but also in my personal achievements (getting married, buying a house, etc.), like how my own family would be. Everyone is invested in you as an employee to become your best self!

I was recently asked why I have stayed with RDO for so long. I thought long and hard and it boiled down to three words: challenging, loyalty, and comradery.

I really enjoy building and trying to teach the younger people coming up in the trade today as I was. I continue to be challenged everyday but knowing that if I make a bad decision, my team (comradery) has my back (loyalty).

With every project, I persist to be challenged, teach others and continue to be mentored myself.

I am very proud and honored to be a part of this team. The executive teams provide all the support that I need, so that I can give my 100% to our projects and our clients. “Where every detail counts” is not just something that we print on our shirts, it’s the RDO way. I look forward to many more years and being able to provide quality projects to our clients on behalf of our amazing team at R.D. Olson.
