R.D. Olson Construction Completes The Peninsula Beverly Hills Hotel’s Extravagant Rooftop Garden Renovation

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif.—R.D. Olson Construction has completed the first phase of the five-diamond Peninsula Beverly Hills Hotel renovation. The construction firm completed the project in one year to ready the hotel’s rooftop pool, restaurant and bar for summer at a cost of $2.8 million.

The rooftop oasis sits high above Los Angles to offer incredible panoramic city views.

The first of the renovations included constructing a 9,000-square-foot pool. It is surrounded by newly-built and updated existing cabanas, which feature 24 inch flat-screen televisions, ceiling fans and white draperies for privacy.

Nearby is an outdoor lounge area with walls and flooring make of limestone imported from Germany. The stone is so rare, R.D. Olson waited one year for its delivery. This cream color limestone catches the glow from the newly built fire pit, making for a cozy and luxurious setting.

The Irvine-based construction company also built a 50-seat rooftop bar designed with strong sense of elegance. The Club Bar’s walls are tastefully rich with California birch panels, embellished with brass inlaid designs and scattered lighting fixtures.

Complementary to the hotel’s upper crust elegance, museum-quality paintings reflecting the native landscape of Beverly Hills and Los Angeles are the focal point of the bar’s backdrop.

CSA Architects of Los Angeles and Cheryl Rowley of Beverly Hills are credited with the hotel’s design.

The Peninsula Beverly Hills Hotel is owned by Probity and The Peninsula. It is located at 9882 South Santa Monica Boulevard, Beverly Hills, Calif.
